**On February 21st, Whitley was slapped with a 50-game suspension for violating the minor league drug policy. This is a major developmental set-back for the Astro’s top pitching prospect, though he should remain in that position. It would have been another top prospect, in Franklin Perez who a had a strong first half of the season, but he was traded to the Tigers in the Justin Verlander deal.
