      • – Despite batting a pedestrian .250 since his return from injury back on June 4, three of Barts four hits have cleared the fence, as San Francisco’s first round draft choice (Georgia Tech) and the second overall pick in the 2018 MLB draft belted his fourth and fifth round-trippers last night versus Stockton.

      • – Tolbert, who was selected by the Diamondbacks in the thirteenth round in 2018 out of South Carolina, is in the midst of a 19 game hit streak dating back to May 11 versus Rancho Cucamonga. Last night against Modesto, the 6’2″- 200 lb. lefty recorded his first four-hit game of the season and is batting .380 since his April 28 promotion to HiA Visalia from LoA Kane County.

      • – The Rangers number four ranked prospect enters Sunday’s contest against Frederick batting .181, but 13 of his 28 hits on the season have gone for extra bases, including last night’s solo shot in the fourth, his sixth on the season, which gave Down East a 2-0 lead. But they only need one, as three Wood Ducks pitchers gave up zero runs on six hits over nine innings, striking out seven to notch a 4-0 win over the Keys.

Encarnacion still ranks amongst the Midwest League leaders in total bases (106), hits (67) and RBi (41).

      • – Despite stealing only six bases over his last twelve games, the Royals #13 ranked prospect (Pipeline) still leads the South Atlantic League in stolen bases with 24, ahead of Lakewood shortstop Jonathan Guzman, Pirates fourteenth overall ranked prospect Lolo Sanchez and Hagerstown centerfielder Cody Wilson, who all sit on 19 steals heading into Sunday’s games.

      • – Saturday’s fourth inning three-run blast was the switch-hitting Castro’s first homer since May 25 (another fourth inning shot) and his fourteenth on the year.  Castro has slowed down considerably since that game, collecting only six hits (including last night’s contest with Lakewood) in his last 14 games (6-49; .143), but remains near the top of the Sally League leaderboard in home runs, total bases (105) and extra-base percentage (.583).
