May 25, 2019 – Under the Radar Hitters of the Day

*Top Hitter of the Day*

  • Mason Martin, 1B – Greensboro Grasshoppers – Pittsburgh Pirates – – 2-5, HR (13), 3B, 2R, 2RBi, K – It looks like we have ourselves a little friendly competition inside the Grasshopper clubhouse, as the 6’0″- 200 lb. Martin’s sixth inning, two-run blast pulled him into (another) tie for the active home run lead in the South Atlantic League with teammate Rodolfo Castro, who clubbed his thirteenth on the year (a two-run shot) two innings earlier. But despite both homers, it wasn’t enough offense as Greensboro starter Osvaldo Bido gave up nine hits and seven earned runs in only four innings of work, taking a 10-7 loss, and dropping him to 6-3 on the year.
