      • – With two of his four home runs on the season coming last night in Lakeland’s 13-7 slugfest victory over Bradenton, Policelli now sits atop the Florida State League in total bases with 55. The Towson University (MD) draftee (2016) has made a steady climb up the leaderboard however, posting 11 hits over his last five games, including three doubles and six runs scored.

California League:

  • Luis Campusano, C – Lake Elsinore Storm – San Diego Padres –

      • – After starting the season red hot with 18 hits in his first 38 a-bats (.462) over 10 game span, the 2017 – 2nd rounder out of Cross Creek HS (GA) fell into a slump registering only eight hits in his next 11 games (8-38; .211), but hopefully last night is a sign of a breakout. Campusano hit his second home run on the season (a 6th inning solo shot, and his first since April 10), despite Lake Elsinore falling to the Lancaster Jethawks 10-5.

Lately, the Mariners 2016 – second round draft choice has been collecting hits in bunches with 19 over his last 41 at-bats (.463) after starting the season with only 16 hits in his first 17 games.

      • – Despite the lack of extra base hits, the Dominican Republic native is doing enough to continue his stranglehold on the Midwest League total bases lead (59). His last home run came in April 20 versus Wisconsin and he’s belted only three doubles in his last eight games, but he’s registered 11 hits over his last eight games (11-for-30; .367) and has reached base in all but two of his 26 games on the season (April 28 vs. Quad Cities; and May 2 vs West Michigan). 

South Atlantic League:
