*Top Hitter of the Day*
- KJ Harrison, 1B – Potomac Nationals – Washington Nationals –
- – 4-6, HR (1/3), 4R, 4RBi, SB (1/1)-
- – Generally when a prospect receives a promotion, it’s implied knowledge that they may struggle a bit in their adjustment to new pitching, more advanced pitching. Well, the 2017 – 3rd rounder out of Oregon State didn’t get the memo. Since receiving a promotion from LoA Hagerstown to Potomac on April 26, the 6’0″- 205 lb. righty is batting .500 (12-for-24) in five games so far for the Carolina League Nationals. In 21 games so far this season, he’s combined to bat an insane .432 with a .489 on-base percentage, is slugging .679 and and is carrying an OPS of 1.168.
- – 4-6, HR (1/3), 4R, 4RBi, SB (1/1)-
California League:
- Austin Beck, CF – Stockton Ports – Oakland A’s –

- Jeremy Eierman, SS – Stockton Ports – Oakland A’s –
- – 3-4, HR (2), 2R, 4RBi, SB (4) –
- Lazaro Armenteros, DH – Stockton Ports – Oakland A’s –
- – 2-4, HR (6), 2R, RBi, K –
- – Oakland’s #4 prospect has a homer in two straight games and four of his six round trippers on the season have come in his last eight contests.
- – 2-4, HR (6), 2R, RBi, K –
- Leonardo Rivas, DH – Inland Empire 66ers – Los Angeles Angels –
- – 3-5, RBi, K –
- – The Angels #26 ranked prospect (Pipeline) has rapidly climbed his way near the top of the Cal League leaderboard over the last week. He’s collected 10 hits in 20 at bats over his last five games (.500).
- – 3-5, RBi, K –
- Ramon Marcelino, RF – Lancaster Jethawks – Colorado Rockies –
- – 2-5, 2B, RBi, K –
- Wednesday’s contest between Lancaster and Modesto was more than just two near .500 teams facing off in a Cal League battle, but pitted two of the Cal League’s top statistical leaders in Marcelino and Modesto’s Luis Liberato. Marcelino’s single in the first and double in the ninth helped pull him into a tie with Liberato, who ended his night 1-for-4 with a single in the fifth, for the Cal League lead in total bases with 51.

Carolina League:
- Jarren Duran, CF – Salem Red Sox – Boston Red Sox –
- – 2-5, R, K –
- In six out of his last eight and ten out of his last 15 games, our 2018 Organizational All Star selection has registered a multi-hit game, and with Chicago’s Luis Robert finally in Double-A, sitting atop the Carolina League leaderboard is (now) well within the 6’2″- 200 lb. Duran’s reach, The lefty swinger heads into today’s games leading the CAR League in batting (.404), runs scored (25) and stolen bases (11).
- – 2-5, R, K –

Midwest League:
- Xavier Edwards, 2B – Fort Wayne TinCaps – San Diego Padres –
- – 5-5, 2B, R, RBi –
- Agustin Ruiz, LF – Fort Wayne TinCaps – San Diego Padres –
- – 1-3, 2B, R, 4RBi, BB –
- Sean Reynolds, 1B – Clinton Lumberkings – Miami Marlins –
- – 2-5, 2 HR (3,4), 3R, 7RBi, 3BB, K –
- – Normally I wouldn’t place a hitter on the list who’s batting .195 on the season, but in Reynolds’ last two days on the field, (April 28 vs Quad Cities; and May 1 vs. West Michigan), he’s registered five hits with one strikeout. In his seven games previous, the gargantuan 6’7″- 235 lb. lefty had seven hits to 19 K’s. I’m not saying Reynolds is turning things around, and his K:BB ratio is abruptly flattening out, but in a double header where he smacked two homers and struck out only once, it’s a blip on the radar that deserves at least an asterisk of attention looking forward.

- – 2-4, 2 HR (2,3), 2R, 2RBi, 2K –
- – A Braves Organizational All-Star selection this past off-season, Harris has collected eight hits over his last four games and currently sits on an 11-game on-base streak. The 5’10”- 215 lb. righty is batting .382 on the season, far surpassing the expectations of a 32nd round draft choice thus far.
- – 2-4, 2 HR (2,3), 2R, 2RBi, 2K –
- Samuel Huff, DH – Hickory Crawdads – Texas Rangers –
- – 1-4, HR (13), 2R, 4RBi, BB, K –
- – There may not be a hotter hitter in all of HiA or LoA than the 2016 – 7th rounder out of Arcadia HS (Phoenix, AZ). Nine of Huff’s minor league leading 13 home runs have come in his last 11 games, where he’s batting .389 with 15 RBi, 12 runs scored and a 10:6 K:BB ratio.
