- After a much longer trip out of state than originally anticipated yesterday and several visits to the ER for a family member, the HOD is back in action after a missed post yesterday. My sincerest of apologies.
- Payton Henry, C – Carolina Mudcats – Milwaukee Brewers – – 3-5, 2 HR (4,5), 3R, 5RBi, K – – The Brewers number ten prospect clubbed his fourth and fifth homers last night as the Mudcats (13-10) slugged their way to a 13-6 victory over Potomac (9-14). After a clean top of the first by Carolina starter Nelson Hernandez (who improved to 3-0 on the season) Henry led off his night with his fourth homer on the season in the bottom of the first, two-out solo shot to right field, giving the Mudcats a 1-0 lead. Henry kept things rolling with a one-out single in the bottom of the second scoring left fielder Joantgel Segovia, in what ended up being a seven-run inning. Henry grounded out to lead off the fourth, Carolina headed to the fifth with an 8-0 lead and Henry made up for the ground-out with his third hit, a two-out three-run homer, in the fifth.
