After only 36.2 innings with LoA Bowling Green last season, Campbell was assigned to the Stone Crabs to begin 2019. In his first two starts, the 6′ 0″ 190 lb right-hander was ripped with 15 hits and 11 earned runs in 8.1 innings (11.88 ERA) and opposing batters torching him for a .417 batting average. To reach this level so quickly seems to be a stretch, since Campbell spent three season at Clemson and only posted 37 innings as a spot starter/long reliever, and finished with a 7.85 ERA.
