- Young has been the hard-luck loser over his two starts. Lack of run support by the Threshers despite the 22nd round pick (2016) throwing strong outings. In his first two starts, the right-hander has allowed 3 earned runs in 10 innings and 13 strikeouts, with ten last night, nearly missing his career-high (11). Only 21 years-old and standing almost seven-foot tall (6′ 10″), Young is progressing through the Phillies system, posting a 3.18 ERA and a 5.70 K/BB ratio in 161.1 innings over four seasons. Young is still raw though, but already shows solid mechanics and coordination for a very tall righty.
