• • The 2016 – 4th rounder out of Texas A&M is 10-for-21 over his last six games (.476) and has collected a hit in 16 out of his last 20 (dating back to July 9) where he’s batting .346 in that span.  

American League – Top Hitter of the Day

• Jordan Qsar, RF – Rookie Princeton Rays (TB) – Appy League2-3, 2 HR (9,10), 3R, 3RBi, BB
• • After going 3-4 with a triple, two runs scored, an RBi and a walk on July 18, Qsar suffered a mini slump, going 12-47 (.255) over his next 15 games. Last night, the 2018 – 30th round draft choice fired back with his first two-homer game as a pro, belting a two-run shot in the 3rd inning, then a solo blast in the 5th. Some may look at his age and write him off, saying 22 year olds should be crushing pitching two years younger than him (on average), but you can’t ignore what he’s doing at the plate; especially when he came to the Rays as a two-way player out of Pepperdine, where he led the Waves with 13 home runs, while notching seven saves as the team’s closer in his final season.
