- We haven’t heard from Rosso since May 29th, not because he hasn’t produced. But due to the fact that the 2017 UTR Organizational All-Star and my Phillies 2018 “One to Watch” has probably been the most consistent UTR pitcher this season. Since his last appearance here, the 6’4″ 215 lb Dominican has posted a 3-0 record and 1.02 ERA over his last three starts. Combined, Rosso went 5-1 with a 1.73 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 67.2 innings with LoA Lakewood. Last night the right-hander made his HiA debut and extended his scoreless streak to 20.2 innings tossing six scoreless frames over the St. Lucie Mets. Rosso was the Phillies Top UTR pitcher for April 2018
- Linares was on my 2016 International Watch List after a very strong debut in the DSL. The Rays brought him over to the U.S. where he took his lumps in the Appy League, but still produced a 3.75 K/BB ratio. In his first full season, the 6’2″ 170 lb lefty has posted a 1.89 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 19 innings over his last 4 starts.
