- I wrote last week that Thomas was looking forward to the second half of the Midwest League. He was the Top NL Performer last week after collecting 11 strikeouts over 6.2 innings. The 7th round pick in 2017 went 2-5 with a 2.74 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 49.1 in 10 starts before the All-Star break.
- Perdomo has made many mentions across this site. It all started during our 2014 debut when the lefty Dominican was a UTR Organizational All-Star as a relief pitcher. The following season Perdomo excelled through two rookie levels, and once again was a UTR-OAS, but as a starter. 2016 was his first full season in LoA Lansing and he dominated by leading the Midwest League with 156 strikeouts in 127 innings. He scored the UTR-OAS 3-peat after that 2016 season. Inconsistencies spelled him in 2017 at Dunedin, but his factor score once again got him his 4th UTR-OAS honor and finally the “Legit UTR” tag. Its going much better this time around in HiA, so it shouldn’t be long for a Double-A promotion.
