- Could this be the year that Bailey Falter cracks my seasons-end UTR Organizational All-Star roster? The 5th round selection in 2015 has put-up very decent numbers since becoming a pro, but it just hasn’t been enough for my system. His solid 2017 season (2.99 ERA, 114.1 IP, 38 ER, 23 BB, 105 K) should have earned him that spot, hadn’t it been for a solid core of UTR Phillies that year. Falter has steadily progressed through the system and this makes his 6th 2018 UTR mention with 4 getting the top honor.
- A very good night for Bailey’s…….Bailey Ober was due a good night on the mound. Before last night, the 12th round pick from last year had made six starts and registered a 7.86 ERA, with 5 starts where he gave up 4 or more earned runs. Ober is a presences on the hill, standing at 6’8″ 215 lbs. The Twins may have found a UTR gem, in that scouts shyed away with Ober, who experienced nagging injuries plus Tommy John during college. His repertoire consists of a 4-pitch mix: mid-90’s fastball, plus changeup, and slider/curve.
