- This could be Beggs last UTRMinors appearance, as he recently turned 25 years-old and falls off the radar based on our criteria. His UTR days were in jeopardy anyways, as he his repeating LoA after seeing 26 starts with Greensboro in 2017. The 16th round pick in 2016 was my Marlins top ranked UTR Organizational All-Star for 2017 and I would have hoped to see him at Double-A at some point this season. His 10 K’s on June 12th were a career high.
- Humpal got off to a rocky start to begin the season. in his first 4 starts, the 9th round pick in 2016 went 0-4 with a 5.57 ERA. He was sent to Double-A Bowie to make a spot start and was over-matched, lasting only 3.1 innings with 8 hits and five earned runs. Back to the HiA Keys, where Humpal now finds himself in the swingman role. The 6’3″ 180 lb righty had a mediocre 2017 season but qualified as a UTR Organizational All-Star .
