- Four wins out of his last six starts and five straight outings without allowing an earned run. This coming from a 2017 12th round draft pick in his first full season. The 6’2″ 210 lb left-hander struck out a career-high 11 batters yesterday and at least seven each over those starts. In his last five, Parkinson has racked up 44 K’s, with only 3 walks, in 32 innings. Opponents are only batting for a .196 average and Parkinson’s ERA is tops amongst all qualifying LoA pitchers.
- The left-handed Linares was on my 2016 International Watch after the 2015 season after a solid stint in the DSL. He came over to the States in 2016 to debut with the Princeton Rays of the Appy League and put-up OK numbers in limited action. His 8 strikeouts last night ties his career mark from that 2015 DSL season.
