- The 6’1″- 188 lb. Troy, NY native continues his assault on Midwest League pitching. Smith currently leads the league in hits (55), doubles (20), RBi (38), total bases – (97), SLG (669) and OPS (1.101). There have been only five games of Smith’s 36 game season where he’s gone hitless. After starting out the year 3-for-14 (.214), Smith logged 9 hits in his next four games, then posted a 16-game hitting streak from April 20 through May 5 where he batted .403 (25-62). He went hitless May 6 vs. Quad Cities), but rapped out 15 more hits in his following six games (.536). There may not be a tier 2 or tier 3 prospect who’s upped his stock this season more than Smith. Add him immediately to any minor league fantasy roster.

- The former Mariner and Tampa Bay Rays prospect was dealt to the Angels in the late March 2018 trade that brought first baseman C.J. Cron to Tampa. All the 21-year-old (PTBNL) Player-To-Be-Named-Later has done is reward the organization with .301 batting average and 19 stolen bases, which ties him for second in all the minors with LoA’s Brayan Morales (Great Lakes – LAD) and AA’s Garrett Hampson (Hartford – COL). All three prospects rank behind and Astros AA prospect Myles Straw who’s swiped 23 bags on the season.
