TOP NL UTR PITCHING PERFORMANCES
RHP Mike O’Reilly (HiA Palm Beach – St Louis) 23 year old
7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 0.77 ERA
  • O’Reilly is a late round pick (27th round-2016) who has been turning heads since toeing the rubber. He debuted in the GCL where he made 11 appearances (4 starts) and  posted a 7.60 K/BB in 40 IP. Last season he breezed through 15 LoA appearances and was promoted to Palm Beach mid-season. He was ranked as my Cardinals 2017 #1 UTR Organizational All-Star.

RHP Brian Howard (LoA Beloit – Oakland) 22 years old
5.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K, 1.74 ERA, Loss 1-1
  • My 2018 Oakland “One to Watch” has a second strong outing to start the season. The 6’9″ 185 lb right-hander sets a career-high with his 10 K’s last night.
RHP Nick Nelson (LoA Charleston – New York Yankees) 22 years old
5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 12 K, 10.80 ERA
  • Nice bounce back outing foe Nelson who only lasted 1.2 innings last Sunday, giving up 7 earn runs.

LHP Eudis Idrogo (LoA West Michigan – Detroit) 22 years old
6 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 0.82 ERA
  • Idrogo appeared on my radar back in 2014 during his time in the Venezuelan Summer League. He was brought over to the States to begin the 2015 season and became my #1 TPS UTR-OAS and I quickly tagged him as a Legit UTR. He enjoyed his first full season in 2016 with LoA West Michigan and repeated there last season. I named him as the Tigers 2017 “One to Watch” and given his performances with the WhiteCaps over the last 29 appearances, I’m surprised by his assignment to begin 2018.
