  • Crismatt went the distance last night and set a new career-high in strikeouts with 13 K, but didn’t get the offensive help in taking the loss. It’s his 2nd appearance as the NL Top UTR Pitcher of the Day (May 19th). After a slow start to the season (6.43 ERA in April), the right-hander got hot in May (1.18 ERA), missing bats with 4:1 K:BB ratio in 38 innings and a 0.97 WHIP. The 6’1″- 200lb.  Columbian has seen limited work across his pro career, especially the last two seasons with 62 IP in 2015 (GCL) and 65.2 IP in 2016.

  • Quiala has been hop-scotching from the bullpen to make starts, but it hasn’t mattered.
