- Richards threw a 6.1 inning one-hitter last time out and repeated that feat last night against Dunedin (Toronto), but added 11 K’s and no walks to the stat line. It’s the first time in the righty’s career that he touched double-digit strikeouts, surpassing his previous high of 9 K’s on May 2nd. Richards might be quite the find for the Marlins, signing him out of the Frontier (Indy) League in July 2016. The product of Drury University (Mo.) made his debut with Batavia and was later promoted to LoA Greensboro last season.

- Castillo jumped out to a fast start to the season, posted a 1.93 ERA (4 ER over 24.1 IP). He hit a rough patch and then got smoked for 5 ER in 5 innings during his last start to inflate his ERA to 4.45 ERA. The lanky 6’2″- 165 lb. right-hander bounced back last night throwing five scoreless innings. Castillo was my Angels Top UTR Pitcher for April and that performance earned him a promotion to Inland Empire. He went 1-1 with a 2.37 ERA and 22 strikeouts / 2 walks over 19 innings with LoA Burlington.
- The Venezuelan native gets things back on-track after allowing 19 ER over his last 13.1 innings (3 starts).
- The 2016 UTR Organizational All-Star is the Indians top pitching prospect (#3) and was the Tribes Top UTR arm for April.
